Sr. Network Engineer
Pay Range: $70/hour to $80/hour
About the Role
We are seeking a
Senior Network Engineer
with deep expertise in enterprise-scale network design, configuration, and security. This individual will lead and support large-scale network projects, day-to-day operations, and security initiatives across a complex, multi-platform environment.
The ideal candidate brings at least
10 years of hands-on experience , preferably within a
healthcare
or similarly regulated industry, and is a subject matter expert in Cisco network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-level LAN/WAN/WLAN environments.
Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Develop and enforce network standards, policies, and procedures.
Perform proactive network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Architect scalable network solutions for cloud, data center, campus, and remote access environments.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and implementation teams.
Collaborate with security teams to conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat mitigation.
Ensure compliance with internal and external security policies and procedures.
Evaluate the impact of new applications on network infrastructure and recommend improvements.
Oversee vendor and contractor engagements related to network and security infrastructure.
Participate in governance, audits, and periodic reviews of security posture and system integrity.
Required Qualifications
10+ years
of experience as a Network Engineer in large-scale enterprise environments.
Proven experience managing and supporting
Cisco-based networks
with 15,000+ nodes.
Strong understanding of network protocols, topologies, QoS, Multicast, and MetroEthernet.
Deep expertise in
LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, NAC, Wireless, and cloud-based networking .
Experience with network security protocols and devices: IDS/IPS, firewalls, ACLs, SecurID, Adaptive Auth, Radius, LDAP, TACACS, etc.
Advanced knowledge of packet-level traffic analysis and network monitoring tools.
Project management skills with experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
Strong documentation skills and the ability to communicate complex topics to varied audiences.
Healthcare industry experience is a
strong plus .
Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher (e.g., CCIE)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security
