Role Overview
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will be a technical thought leader and trusted advisor to our key customers. This role goes beyond mere implementation—your expertise will guide architectural decisions, influence product strategy, and mentor both customers and internal teams. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market initiatives, becoming a prominent representative of Onehouse within the modern data community.
Your Responsibilities
Work closely with customers during pre-sales to assess needs, design tailored solutions, and effectively position Onehouse's offerings.
Oversee technical onboarding for enterprise customers, leading efforts either directly or by guiding a team.
Manage incident response and resolution for customer-facing escalations, maintaining transparency and building trust.
Create demos, solution guides, and technical content to support sales and marketing initiatives.
Contribute to the open-source community and represent Onehouse at industry events.
Develop high-leverage internal tools, frameworks, and content to enhance the solutions engineering function.
Mentor and nurture the skills of other Solutions Engineers and the broader go-to-market team.
Analyze recurring customer pain points and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to impact future roadmaps.
Essential Qualifications
8+ years of experience engaging with customers on technical projects.
Extensive background with major cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
5+ years of deep experience with Apache Spark, including expertise in its runtime internals, query tuning, performance optimization, and debugging.
Robust technical experience in crafting, operating, and troubleshooting diverse data engineering pipelines using tools like Kafka, Flink, Presto/Trino, DBT, Airflow, and Parquet.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and lead initiatives without formal authority.
Experience with modern data lakehouse technologies, such as Apache Hudi, Apache Iceberg, or Delta Lake.
A strong vision for the future of open data infrastructure and the ability to influence its direction.
Bonus Skills
Experience contributing to an open-source project.
We offer a competitive compensation package with an estimated base salary range of $220,000 - $250,000. As part of our equity compensation plan, your success is our success.
