We are excited to invite applications for the role of Lead Network Engineer. Job Summary: As a Lead Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining complex network systems with a focus on optimal performance and security. Collaborating with various IT teams, you will design network architectures, troubleshoot issues, and meet the organization’s growing network demands. Key Responsibilities: Network Design & Architecture:

Create and enhance network infrastructure for local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) to meet both current and future business needs. Network Management:

Oversee and maintain essential network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, ensuring peak performance and minimal downtime. Troubleshooting & Support:

Quickly diagnose and resolve any network-related issues while providing technical guidance to junior engineers and IT staff. Security:

Implement robust network security policies to protect organizational data and infrastructure while proactively monitoring for vulnerabilities. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

Continuously assess network performance, identify improvement areas, and optimize operations for high availability. Documentation:

Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and procedures, ensuring all changes are properly recorded. Collaboration:

Work alongside other IT teams (e.g., Systems, Security, and DevOps) to integrate network needs into larger projects. Project Management:

Lead or contribute to network-related projects, ensuring proper planning and timely execution. Vendor Management:

Partner with third-party vendors for network hardware and software installation and support. Skills & Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience:

5-10 years of experience in network engineering or a related role, with a proven track record in managing complex networks. Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). Technical Skills: Proficient in working with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks. Experience using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Meraki). Strong knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, ARP, SNMP, among others. Solid understanding of network security practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS). Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, Google Cloud) and SD-WAN solutions. Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 addressing, routing protocols (BGP), and management protocols. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate collaboration. Leadership abilities to mentor junior engineers. Effective time management and organizational skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects. Additional Qualifications (Preferred): Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform).
