The Senior Cloud Security Architect is responsible for creating robust principles, standards, and design patterns that ensure the security of products and enterprise tools across Cox Automotive's multi-cloud and on-premises environments. This role concentrates specifically on securing multi-cloud infrastructure and services as well as on-premises systems. Utilizing extensive cybersecurity expertise, you will design and build secure infrastructures and services tailored for both multi-cloud and on-premises settings. Collaboration with various cross-functional teams to establish well-defined cybersecurity architectural guidelines is essential for adoption by engineering teams. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture at Cox Automotive. Primary Responsibilities Identify and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guardrails. Lead working groups to define cybersecurity guidelines across product and enterprise architecture. Develop secure design patterns with product and enterprise architecture that engineering teams can effectively implement. Contribute to governance patterns related to non-cyber architecture. Analyze potential security risks to information systems and recommend innovative solutions. Collaborate with technical and development teams to enhance release processes for security. Define cybersecurity guardrails with business and engineering teams to ensure secure design patterns are efficiently adopted. Engage in security events and incident responses to identify and prevent security gaps. Research emerging security trends, threats, and technologies to recommend enhancements. Work with stakeholders to ensure security considerations are integrated into operational decisions. Collaborate with cybersecurity peers to unify governance, risk, compliance, and vulnerability management into cohesive standards. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of experience, or a master's degree and 6 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years; or 12 years of relevant experience. Minimum 4 years focused specifically on cybersecurity. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and on-premises systems. Ability to communicate cybersecurity policies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent customer service, writing, and executive presentation abilities. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to promote cybersecurity best practices. Consultative approach for navigating complex topics with employees and leadership. Evaluate risks and recommend actions based on their potential impact on the business. Knowledge of contemporary cybersecurity architectures such as zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Creative problem-solving for complex cybersecurity challenges with sound business acumen. Experience with Agile methodologies. Proven ability to implement change within Fortune 1000 companies. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27000, NIST, and industry regulations like GDPR. Collaborate with AI agents to create and validate architectural designs. Lead cross-functional teams in AI integration into solutions and establish relevant standards. Implement AI-driven governance and compliance frameworks. Enhance vendor tool assessments through AI to streamline evaluations. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing cybersecurity methodologies for cloud and on-premises environments. Relevant experience in application security, SaaS, network security, and DevSecOps. Knowledge of IAM, cryptography, and security protocols. Experience with application security practices. Extensive technology expertise in languages and frameworks including Python, .NET, Java. Experience with firewalls and network architectures like DMZ. Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Experience developing cloud enterprise solutions in AWS, GCP, or Azure. Strong understanding of cloud containers and serverless platforms. Big Four consulting or Fortune 500 company experience. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS are preferred. Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $144,900.00 to $241,500.00. This base salary may vary based on location and the candidate's qualifications. Additional compensation may be available through an incentive program. The Company provides flexible vacation policies, seven paid holidays, and up to 160 hours of annual paid wellness leave, among other benefits.
