Clinic Aide (Nursing Assistant)
Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159‑bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout Hawai‘i. The center provides diagnosis and treatment for more than 32 specialties and hosts Hawai‘i's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center.
The Oncology department evaluates and treats all types of cancer and blood disorders. At Straub's newly renovated Outpatient Treatment Center, patients receive blood transfusions, chemotherapy, nutritional support, antibiotics and other IV therapies. Certified Oncology Nurses provide education and emotional support to patients and families. The Cancer Center includes physicians, nurses, dietitians, outpatient and inpatient staff, and a quality‑of‑life professional. In addition to treatment, the center offers family education and support group sessions.
Position Overview As a Clinic Aide, you will serve as a nursing assistant performing routine tasks ranging from monitoring supplies to administering health care to patients of all ages and supporting departmental staff.
Responsibilities
Monitor supplies and equipment in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
Assist nurses and physicians with patient care activities.
Provide basic health‑care services to patients of all ages.
Support departmental staff in daily operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Nurse Aide or Medical Assistant certificate showing successful completion of courses for a Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant training program.
Completion of a fundamentals course from an accredited school of Nursing (name of nursing school and completion of fundamentals course).
Military Corpsman certificate, EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), or MICT (Mobile Intensive Care Technician) certificate.
RN/MD license or RN/MD graduate certificate from a college in a foreign country.
Current Heart Saver‑AED Card and Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of medical terminology course.

Work Schedule Day – 8 hours per shift.
Work Type Full Time Regular
Pay Range $23.05 – $24.26 USD per hour.
