Board Certified/Board Eligible Otolaryngologist (Sinus & Sleep Specialist)
Location Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, 921 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule Full-time (1.0 FTE) – Monday through Friday; clinical and surgical schedule per VA requirements
Period of Performance November 1, 2025 – October 31, 2026
Overview The Otolaryngology Physician (Sinus/Sleep Specialist) provides comprehensive ear, nose, throat, and sleep medicine services to veterans in accordance with the standards of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and The Joint Commission. The physician is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of ENT and sleep-related disorders and performing advanced sinus and anterior skull base surgeries.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct outpatient clinics for ENT and sleep disorders, including pre- and post-operative consultations.
Perform surgical procedures such as endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, polypectomy, skull base surgeries, tracheostomy, laryngoscopy, and sleep apnea–related surgeries.
Manage patients with complex sinonasal and sleep-related pathologies.
Provide emergency and inpatient consultation as required.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and tumor boards as applicable.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records using VA systems (CPRS/VistA).
Ensure compliance with VA directives, patient safety protocols, and HIPAA standards.
Maintain current CME and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
Board Certified or Board Eligible by the
American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery .
Fellowship training in
Sinus and Sleep Medicine
required.
Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
Credentialing and privileging approval through VA required before practice.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
