The following is a high-level description of the Services Insight will provide where applicable: Provide Two NOC Technicians to be part of the HHS Network Operations Team as per the details outlined in this WO
Service Description The following is a high-level description of the Services Insight will provide: Network Monitoring Continuously monitor network monitoring tools and dashboards for alerts, anomalies, and performance issues. Identify and flag events including outages, latency, security incidents, and hardware faults. Ticket Management Open support tickets promptly for any detected events or incidents in accordance with standard operating procedures. Document relevant details, including time, type of alert, affected systems, and initial actions taken. Update and close tickets as incidents are resolved, ensuring accurate records are maintained. Incident Notification Notify the network engineering team about the alerts, events and incidents as per established escalation protocols. Provide concise, accurate, and timely information to allow for rapid response and resolution. Action Plan Execution Follow step-by-step action plans and guidance provided by the network operations team for monitoring, notifications and communications. Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or engineers when required. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of network incidents, actions taken, and communications with stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly NOC reports as requested. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with other NOC team members to share information and support collective NOC efforts. Participate in regular briefings and training sessions organized by the network operations team. Adherence to Policies Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and security guidelines pertaining to network operations. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive network information. Required Skills and Qualifications Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., LAN/WAN, network devices). Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems (training will be provided). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. Reporting Structure The NOC Technician will report directly to the NOC Supervisor or designated team lead. Guidance and escalation support will be provided by senior members of the network operations and engineering teams. Work Schedule and work location Performance of the Services will be initially onsite: Winters Data Center, 701 West 51st Steet, Austin, TX 78751 NOC Technicians will be working onsite during business hours on business days except weekends and HHS Holidays as per following schedule: NOC Technician -1 7:00AM to 3:00PM NOC Technician - 2 9:00AM to 5:00PM
