About the Opportunity

We're looking for a dynamic and strategic

Director of Human Resources

to lead the full HR function across a multi-site industrial organization with approximately 350 employees in the U.S. and Canada. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned HR leader who thrives in operational environments and is passionate about building strong teams, driving cultural alignment, and shaping workforce strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, aligning HR strategy with business goals and long-term growth plans. Lead workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development across corporate, field, and manufacturing operations. Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Employee & Labor Relations Oversee employee relations and labor relations, including union negotiations, grievance resolution, and labor-management collaboration. Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions (OSHA, EEOC, etc.). HR Operations & Systems Drive operational excellence in compensation, benefits, performance management, and HRIS systems. Implement data-driven HR processes and metrics to support decision-making and improve efficiency. Team Development & Coaching Lead and mentor a small HR team, fostering professional growth and building internal HR capabilities. Promote leadership development and employee engagement initiatives that support retention and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred) 10-15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or mining sectors Proven success managing unionized and non-unionized workforces across multiple sites Expertise in labor negotiations, compliance, and organizational change Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
