A dynamic multimedia organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its team in metro Atlanta, Georgia. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial operations across studio management, production activities, and commercial leasing. The ideal Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts payable processes, vendor relations, and production-related invoicing. This position also oversees receivables for event space clients and contributes to monthly financial close procedures. The Staff Accountant will ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, assist with account reconciliations, and support audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
Serve as the primary contact for vendors, handling invoice processing, coding, payments, and 1099 reviews. Collaborate with production accounting teams to manage shoot-related and utility invoicing. Oversee invoicing and receivables for event space clients. Assist in month-end close activities and maintain accurate financial records. Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal financial reporting standards. Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger. Support audit processes and contribute to miscellaneous accounting projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Minimum of one year of accounting experience in either public or corporate environments. Strong grasp of GAAP and financial principles. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively. Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting software. Strong communication and customer service skills.
