Position Summary
We are hiring a Regional Delegating Nurse (RN) to support a group of assigned assisted living communities in our newly acquired portfolio in Oregon, namely in the areas of Sandy, Clackamas, Molalla, Salem, Albany, and Roseburg.
The Regional Delegating Nurse (RN) provides clinical leadership, oversight, and support to their assigned assisted living and memory care communities. This role ensures compliance with state regulations, promotes high standards of resident care, and trains/supervises staff in the delivery of delegated nursing services. The Regional RN Delegating Nurse serves as a key clinical resource to community leadership teams, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, and person-centered care.
They will help strengthen the clinical processes within the community, conduct reviews of regulatory compliance, and provide community clinical support within their assigned region.
Our clinical leaders benefit from extensive hands-on support provided by our regional and senior clinical teams, including the region's Regional Director of Health and Wellness, the division’s National Director of Resident Care, our National Director of Memory Care, and the SVP of Care and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide ongoing clinical support and oversight to assigned assisted living and memory care communities. Conduct delegation assessments in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) and state nursing practice standards. Train and supervise unlicensed caregivers in the safe delivery of delegated nursing tasks. Ensure compliance with all state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies. Conduct regular community visits to audit clinical documentation, medication management, care delivery, and infection control practices. Partner with Executive Directors and Health Services Directors to promote clinical excellence and quality outcomes. Serve as a clinical subject matter expert and resource for staff development, mentoring, and problem-solving. Review incident reports, develop corrective action plans, and monitor follow-through to resolution. Collaborate with physicians, families, and outside healthcare providers to coordinate resident care. Participate in state surveys, licensing visits, and follow-up actions to maintain compliance. Support transitions of care and resident move-ins, ensuring clinical appropriateness and safe onboarding. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing best practices, dementia care, and state regulations affecting assisted living and memory care.
Requirements
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensure
A current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Oregon. Experience with nursing delegation in Oregon is strongly preferred.
Experience, Competencies, And Skills
At least three (3) years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care. Strong knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) for assisted living and residential care facilities. Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and mentoring skills. Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple communities.
Special Requirements
Ability to travel regularly within Oregon (75%+ travel expected).
