About the Role We’re seeking a skilled

Senior 3D Graphics Pipeline Engineer

with a solid background in

AAA game development or high-end film/VFX workflows . The ideal candidate will combine practical production experience with strong coding capabilities to architect and build tools that enable our data team to clean, curate, and enhance large-scale 3D datasets—critical for training next-generation 3D foundation models. This role bridges production-grade asset creation with the execution of scalable, reliable data pipelines.

What You’ll Do: Design and build robust, scalable tools and pipelines for 3D data editing, cleaning, and transformation.

Enable efficient processing of large datasets, ensuring assets are optimized for downstream AI training, simulation, or rendering workflows.

Production-Level Asset Expertise

Establish and enforce standards for geometry, UV layouts, LODs, topology, textures, and asset metadata—aligned with AAA game or VFX production pipelines.

Identify and resolve common asset quality issues like non-manifold geometry, inconsistent scales, broken UVs, missing maps, or inefficient mesh topology.

Closely partner with research teams to align curation guidelines with model training needs; translate production requirements into actionable filtering rules and pipeline designs.

Work hand-in-hand with the data team to implement cleaning workflows, asset validation tools, and curation strategies.

Technical Integration with DCC Tools

Develop and maintain pipeline integrations between key 3D DCC tools (Houdini, Blender, Maya) and custom processing frameworks.

Automate asset transformations such as format conversions, polygon decimation, UV re-packing, and LOD generation.

What We’re Looking For: 3+ years of professional experience in AAA game studios, VFX pipelines, or comparable high-quality 3D production environments.

Deep understanding of the end-to-end 3D production pipeline: modeling, texturing, topology, LOD creation, asset optimization.

Practical familiarity with Houdini, Blender, and Maya, including scripting or tool creation within those environments.

Well-organized and experienced in documentation, asset management, and version control ( Git )

Nice to Have: Experience with multithreaded and GPU programming

Experience with USD, OpenSubdiv, or Hydra

Experience scaling pipelines for

large 3D datasets , particularly for AI/ML training.

Knowledge of distributed processing tools or versioning systems for art pipelines (e.g. Shotgun, Perforce).

Familiarity with USD, procedural modeling, or shader workflows.
