Health and Safety Manager/ Industrial Hygienist
Join Anchor QEA as a leader in driving Health and Safety (H&S) excellence across the company. In this role, you will be a key advisor and mentor to team members, oversee industrial hygiene efforts, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide the development of key safety plans, audits, and training.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of industrial hygiene and Health & Safety practices
Effectively manages multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Variety of industrial hygiene and safety-related tasks
Leads the review and execution of safety plans
Takes ownership of responsibilities with limited direction
Develops and implements industrial hygiene monitoring strategies
Designs and delivers training
Creates, reviews, and revises safety programs and procedures
Provides expert technical guidance and leadership in industrial hygiene matters
Assists with managing the Health & Safety auditing process
Mentors and offers leadership to team members, even without formal supervisory duties
Follows written and oral instructions and resolves issues efficiently
Reads, analyzes, interprets, and conveys instructions clearly
Drafts well‑written correspondence and demonstrates proficiency in using computer systems
Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following
Experienced in both safety and industrial hygiene, with a solid understanding of OSHA regulations and a proven track record in developing and executing Industrial Hygiene sampling plans.
Extensive auditing experience
Skilled in leading training sessions
Adept at managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Possesses strong verbal and written communication abilities
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Safety, Public Health, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of industrial hygiene experience, including at least 4 years as an Industrial Hygienist
Advanced degree may substitute for a portion of the required experience
Licenses/Certifications
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
Preferred Education and Experience
Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Safety, Public Health, or a related field
Experience in safety and industrial hygiene within the environmental consulting industry
Proven experience collaborating with committees
Certified in OSHA HAZWOPER 40‑hour and OSHA HAZWOPER 8‑hour Supervisor training; background in laboratory safety procedures
