Responsibilities
As a Vice President of Health Care Analytics Engineering within Morgan Health, you will utilize your deep experience with health care claims warehouses, data transformations, and product design thinking to evolve and execute a scalable data strategy for the Morgan Health team.
You will leverage your expertise in medical and pharmaceutical claims data, survey data, biometrics data and industry-standard groupers to propose relevant solutions (ex. new data marts, logic/measures, imputations, etc.) that enable a range of business use cases.
You will lean into your skills as a motivated problem-solver, team collaborator, and clear communicator to play a crucial role in progressing Morgan Health's mission to improve health care for JPMC health plan members and across employer-sponsored insurance.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline
7+ years of professional experience (or 5+ years of professional experience + related graduate degree) in data engineering, analytics engineering or product design thinking with a strong emphasis on health care data
Subject matter expertise in medical and pharmaceutical claims data, including familiarity with common coding standards and standardizations, groupers, data transformations (e.g., TUVA) and logic (e.g., HEDIS rules)
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques, and data quality principles
Proficiency in creating and maintaining data models, data marts, and ETL processes
Proven ability to successfully multitask effectively, balance competing priorities, and design creative solutions
Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Hands-on experience with coding languages such as Python, R, and SQL, as well as data engineering tools including Databricks and dbt
Experience developing technical documentation and requirements for data or software engineering teams to implement
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
Proven experience in developing and managing multiple health care claims warehouses across various sizes and platforms
Strong background in creating data infrastructure and transformations to support value-based care contracting and reconciliation processes
Expertise in implementing AI solutions, including LLM and Copilot, modernizing technology stacks, and enabling reporting through business intelligence and data visualization tools
Ability to work directly with non-technical business stakeholders to effectively communicate strategy and understand their needs
