Financial Manager - F&I
Swickard Auto Group is seeking a Finance Manager to play a critical role in dealership profitability by securing customer financing, structuring deals, and presenting a variety of financial and insurance products. Responsibilities
Meet with customers after vehicle selection to discuss financing options. Assess customer creditworthiness and pre‑qualify them for loan options from various lenders. Negotiate loan terms and interest rates with lenders on behalf of the customer. Secure financing approval and finalize loan documents, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations. Present and explain various financial and insurance products (extended warranties, gap insurance, service contracts, etc.) and tailor recommendations to customer needs and budget. Overcome objections and effectively close F&I deals, maintaining a deep understanding of all offered products. Structure financing deals that meet customer needs while maximizing dealership profit; utilize tools and techniques within legal and ethical boundaries. Track sales performance and identify opportunities to improve F&I penetration. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the financing process, building trust and rapport with customers. Ensure all financing and sales practices comply with federal and state regulations (e.g., Truth in Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act) and stay informed of regulatory updates. Train and mentor sales staff on F&I products and processes; maintain strong relationships with lenders and insurance providers. Assist with monthly and quarterly sales reports and financial analysis as needed. Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive finance or a related field (e.g., banking, lending). Strong understanding of automotive financing principles and loan options. Excellent sales and negotiation skills; proven ability to close deals and meet sales targets. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in computer skills and dealership management software (DMS). Ability to multi‑task and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment. A valid driver’s license with a clean record. Knowledge of F&I regulations and compliance is a plus. Demonstrates a high Hospitality Quotient (kindness, optimism, curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self‑awareness, and integrity). Benefits
