We are seeking an experienced
Technical Writer III
to develop, document, and maintain system and business workflows that support HRMSD’s operational requirements. This role requires creating clear, accurate, and actionable documentation for internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain documented workflows for systems or business processes.
Scan and store information digitally in a centralized repository.
Create comprehensive manuals for application users, ensuring instructions are actionable and straightforward.
Produce in-depth technical documentation for developers, IT teams, or advanced users, including API guides and data models.
Prepare clear and concise release notes highlighting application updates, bug fixes, and new features.
Develop onboarding and training materials, such as tutorials, quick-start guides, or e-learning content.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
Clearly communicate documentation requirements, timelines, and updates to stakeholders.
Actively seek and incorporate feedback from end-users and team members.
Ensure all documentation remains up-to-date with application changes and user feedback.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience.
Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word), Adobe PDF, SharePoint, and content management systems.
Experience producing technical documentation, user guides, and workflows.
Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HRMSD systems or similar enterprise applications.
Knowledge of system development lifecycle documentation.
Work Environment
This position is eligible for remote work or based in Denver/Lakewood, CO.
Clearance Requirement
Must hold or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
