Web Programmer / Developer, Life Science Tools Experience:
0–2 Years ABOUT US GenePath Diagnostics Inc. is a fast-growing life science reagent manufacturer based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We develop and produce high-quality biological reagents and kits used by researchers worldwide for genomics, diagnostics, and drug discovery. Application Development: Design, code, and test user-friendly web applications and tools for internal teams and external customers. Data Integration: Develop and maintain API endpoints and services to connect web applications with internal inventory, ERP systems, and scientific databases. Collaboration: Work with scientists, marketing, and operations teams to translate complex technical/scientific requirements into clear, functional code specifications. Documentation & Quality: Perform rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and document all developed code and procedures. Stay Current: Learn new web technologies and frameworks relevant to biotech/life science data management. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related technical field. 0–2 years of web application development experience (including internships, capstone projects, and strong portfolio). Familiarity with at least one server-side language such as Node.js, Python, or Ruby. Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL). Experience with Git. Desired Skills
Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS). Knowledge of bioinformatics or common life science data structures (strong interest acceptable). Experience working with APIs (RESTful). Job Details
