Freight Forwarder Air Export – 102141 Job Summary
A Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing and coordinating the exportation of goods by air, including all necessary documentation, scheduling, and communication with customers and third‑party service providers. The role requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to maintain customer satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channels. Prepare and process required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on the status of their shipments. Manage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. Collaborate with other internal departments such as logistics, finance, and operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws. Perform additional duties as assigned. Educational Background / Work Experience
Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred. Experience in freight forwarding is highly desirable. Skills & Competencies
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates. Other Skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment. Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes
Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations. Understanding of trade laws and regulations. Language Skills
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus. Computer Literacy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred. At‑Will Employment
DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired as at‑will employees. Termination may occur for any reason, provided it does not violate any law. Employees also have the right to terminate their employment at any time, except in Montana, where termination requires just cause. Pay
The expected base pay for this position is $22.50 – $30.50 per hour, which may vary based on factors such as experience, location, and skills. Agency and Resume Policy
