Departmental Analyst 9-P11/ NDD Program Staff

– This is a limited-term position (up to two years from the date of appointment) with the possibility of extension but no guarantee. The Neighborhood Development Division has created the MI-HOPE Program and awards regional energy-efficiency grants statewide. The MI-HOPE Program Staff Member serves as a resource for the delivery of MI-HOPE resources to communities and non-profit organizations, using a statewide subrecipient approach. The staff member will act as a contact between the Division and local communities/grantees in housing partnership regions statewide, provide technical assistance, grant oversight and implementation support, review and process disbursement requests, prepare grant close-out documentation, and support subrecipient agreements focused on home repair and energy enhancements. The role may transition to MI Neighborhood (MIN) portfolio financial processing and grant management duties as needed, including application evaluation and pre/post award activities. The position requires work in the state of Michigan and may involve hybrid remote work with a designated workspace and reliable internet access.

Responsibilities

Review and process disbursement requests; prepare grant close-out documentation; perform other assignments related to the MI-HOPE Program. Transition to MIN portfolio financial processing and grant management duties as needed, including application evaluation and pre/post award activities. Qualifications

Education : Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Experience : Departmental Analyst 9 – No specific type or amount required; Departmental Analyst 10 – One year of professional experience; Departmental Analyst P11 – Two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate (10) level in state service. Alternate Education and Experience : Departmental Analyst 9 - 12 – Educational level typically acquired through high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may substitute for the education requirement.
