This job involves assessing patients and safely performing routine radiographic procedures according to safety protocols. The role also includes serving as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required: Completion of an approved radiologic technology program. Work Experience

Required: None. Preferred: Radiologic technology experience. Certifications

Required: ARRT registration or eligibility, with registration within 90 days of employment, and a temporary state license. Current unrestricted license in the state of practice. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency with computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call, and to travel between facilities. Job Duties

Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy. Use radiology information systems to facilitate care. Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding. Operate equipment independently to complete imaging procedures according to protocol, including placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and contrast administration. Review images for quality before transmission. Perform quality control procedures and address issues as needed. Assist with departmental operations such as inventory and equipment maintenance. Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communicating effectively. Perform other duties as required.
