About the Role

As a Principal Mechanical Engineering Architect, you will be responsible for leading the architecture and design of next‑generation server and rack‑level mechanical systems for hyperscale customers. This role involves deep collaboration with internal teams, customers, and technology partners to solve complex technical challenges and shape the future of compute infrastructure. What You Will Do

Develop long‑term server and rack‑level architecture strategies aligned with hyperscale customer needs. Provide technical leadership across cross‑functional teams, including engineering, management, and business groups. Engage directly with customers to define requirements and guide concept and development of custom server and rack solutions. Drive the integration of system‑level mechanical engineering strategies internally and externally. Lead feasibility studies and architecture development for server, rack, and data center solutions. Identify and develop technical differentiators to position ZT Systems competitively. Participate in industry forums, author technical white papers, and contribute to standards bodies. Key Technical Domains

Server chassis layout and optimization Rack‑level mechanical integration and airflow strategy Design for high‑density GPU and AI compute environments AC/DC converter design, rack and system‑level power budgeting Rack‑ and data center‑level power infrastructure development Firmware and Software Architecture

BMC/UEFI firmware architecture (AMI or OpenBMC) Secure boot, Root of Trust, and system telemetry implementation OS and driver‑level interactions (Windows Server, Linux) What You Bring

BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering; MS preferred 12+ years of relevant industry experience (or 10+ with MS) Experience developing server hardware from architecture to production Deep knowledge of x86/ARM/GPU platforms, high‑speed serial interfaces (PCIe, CXL, InfiniBand), memory buses (DDR5, HBM), and system integration Understanding of server and rack management systems, security protocols, and hardware telemetry Experience with the complete product lifecycle and leading cross‑functional development Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills Employment Details
