We create places people want to call home and are now hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a dedicated maintenance team.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and supervise daily maintenance activities including maintenance, installation, repairs, and cleaning of grounds and common areas.

Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff in company policies, procedures, and safety practices.

Conduct regular safety inspections, correct unsafe practices, and train staff on chemicals, supplies, and equipment handling.

Lead safety and department meetings; participate in regional meetings and community events.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for installation, maintenance, and repair work.

Maintain department budget, ensuring projects and schedules stay within budgetary guidelines.

Prepare specifications for major projects, negotiate bids, and inspect vendor work for quality and cost compliance.

Order supplies, maintain inventory levels, and ensure accurate use of the Yardi Mobile service request system.

Manage service requests, make‑reads, and other maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion to company quality standards.

Troubleshoot and train staff on specific trades and maintenance issues to assess and recommend repairs or replacements.

Ensure all staff training, safety inspections, and compliance with OSHA and company policies.

Work on‑call for emergencies and overtime as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience; property management experience preferred.

Proven ability to supervise and lead a large team.

Advanced knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, and appliance repair.

HVAC and EPA certifications preferred.

Effective communication with management, vendors, partners, and residents.

Basic computer skills (mobile device, PC).

Valid license where required.

Availability for regular on‑call work, emergencies, off‑hours, and overtime.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
