Overview
Position: MRI Technologist in the MRI Department at Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital, located in Jacksonville, FL. This listing includes the responsibilities, requirements, and benefits associated with the role.
Responsibilities
Lead the daily operations of the assigned department's imaging services.
Ensure quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow.
Monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Serve as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed.
Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching.
Provide input to staff performance evaluations.
Position patients and select anatomical and technical parameters accurately.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, patient data/history).
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage, and related areas.
Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from ARRT, licensure or eligible.
Education
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
