The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for planning and directing the delivery of primary healthcare and health education programs in association with Methodist Healthcare Primary Care Associates (MHPCA). The incumbent will provide care and health education for patients and their families, modeling appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision, and Values. Responsibilities include: Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients according to approved protocols and standards. Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under supervision. Collaborating with physicians and staff to promote quality care and making referrals as needed. Ensuring environmental safety factors are recognized and addressed. Supporting practice policies, procedures, and standards. Developing strong partnerships with patients, families, and staff to enhance satisfaction and retention. Qualifications: Education: Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing or Nursing, or a Doctorate in Advanced Practice Nursing. Work Experience: 3-5 years of general nursing or clinical practice. Licenses and Certifications: Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Tennessee, Mississippi, or Arkansas. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. RN licensure in respective states. Certified Nurse Practitioner through recognized certifying bodies (ANCC, AANP, AACN, CPNP, NCC). Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in advanced nursing concepts and techniques. Current DEA registration if required. Physical Demands: Frequent patient contact, exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials. Ability to react quickly in emergencies, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform physical tasks as described.
