The
Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB)
supports the business operations of state agencies through services such as building management, IT, procurement, budget, space planning, construction, fleet operations, and oversight of state retirement systems. This position is within the Agency Services area.
Position Overview
– Senior Business Analyst, supporting DHHS Administration & Departmental Solutions. The analyst will lead initiatives and perform a full range of information‑system analysis assignments across applications and platforms, including Salesforce, IBM Middleware, Amazon Web Services, Google Web Services, and React Solutions on OpenShift.
Sign‑On Bonus
– Eligible for up to $2,500: $1,250 paid upon hire and the remainder after a 12‑month probationary period. Not applicable to current state employees.
Location & Work Arrangement
– Lansing, MI. Hybrid work model: two days on site, three days remote per week. Out‑of‑state applicants must be willing to relocate.

Qualifications – Education
Bachelor’s degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or more of: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management, or mathematics.
Associate’s degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in any of the above fields, plus two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or IT technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant.
Or high school diploma plus four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, IT technician, or four years (8,320 hours) as an Information Technology Student Assistant.
Qualifications – Experience
Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.
Experience in application programming, computer operation, or IT support roles as specified above.
