Vibration Analyst – ISO CAT III
Role
The Machinery Vibration Analyst/Millwright works with Cornerstone’s technical and maintenance teams to maintain and/or improve the reliability of rotating equipment and meet customer’s reliability goals. This will be accomplished through data analytics, machinery forecasting, and customer relationships. Responsibilities
Coach and mentor peers in compliance with EOS strategy. Predictive program and condition monitoring administration for rotating equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, and motors for assigned customers. Utilize precision measuring and testing instruments to support forecasting decisions. Identify the need to perform maintenance work through observation, inspections, testing, and monitoring on a routine basis. Communicate problems discovered to the customer for repairs, as needed. Provide written reports detailing probable causes of issues and recommended actions based on experience, historic trends, fault detection, or other means for accurate diagnostics. Assist with equipment commissioning and acceptance testing based on customer requirements or ISO standards for newly installed equipment. Document historical data within Cornerstone’s Vibration Software. Input historical data into Cornerstone’s CMMS, ensuring accurate time to complete jobs and that task lists and statuses are current. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigations; provide customers with findings and reports. Expectations
Proactively coach and mentor peers, mechanics, and others on the EOS culture and expectations around work execution, change readiness, value creation, and waste elimination. Monitor and provide recommendations on machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Review and monitor rotating equipment condition using vibration data, lube oil results, and other critical process data (pressures, temperatures, flows, loads, efficiencies) to determine equipment health. Ensure all overhaul checklists and inspection forms are completed and submitted to the customer and CMMS daily. Input accurate time into CMMS daily to maintain correct metrics and accounting. Report equipment deficiencies using CMMS systems. Mentor other mechanics as needed, sharing technical knowledge. Support the Field Service team as required (relaying scopes, assisting in mechanical repairs, building points or routes for vibration readings, troubleshooting). Willingness to research and attend continuing education within Cornerstone’s service scope. 100% environmental and safety compliance; zero safety violations. Maintain fleet vehicles and job site housekeeping in line with Cornerstone and customer standards. All task lists are completed and marked complete at the end of each day in Cornerstone’s CMMS.
