Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for fresh and further-processed chicken, securing high-quality supply at optimal cost and reliability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, portioners, and processors to ensure consistent performance and innovation.
Analyze poultry market trends, feed costs, and regulatory changes to inform proactive purchasing decisions and risk mitigation strategies.
Partner with QA and operations teams to uphold USDA and FSIS compliance standards while ensuring top-tier product quality.
Oversee inventory levels, manage budgets, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or food safety.
Work closely with R&D, production, finance, and sales teams to align procurement strategies with business goals and product innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
10+ years of experience in procurement, with a strong background in poultry (chicken or turkey).
Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
In-depth understanding of poultry market dynamics, pricing structures, and sourcing strategies.
Familiarity with USDA/FSIS regulations and food safety programs.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
