The Vice President, Global Learning & Development (L&D) is a strategic enterprise leader responsible for designing and executing a globally integrated learning strategy that accelerates capability building, fosters inclusive leadership, and drives business performance. This role leads the development of functional, cross-functional and leadership learning programs aligned with Otis’ strategic priorities and talent philosophy. Reporting to the SVP, Global Talent & Inclusion, this role will be based on the East coast of the United States, and we can accommodate remote, hybrid or on-site work arrangements.
Key Accountabilities
Enterprise Learning Strategy:
Implement the unified global L&D strategy that supports key capability building, digital enablement, and workforce readiness across the enterprise. Lead the execution of the Leading@Otis framework, embedding leadership development across all levels. Oversee the governance of learning councils and steering committees to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
Program Design & Delivery:
Develop and scale high-impact learning solutions building on established programs including Otis University, Elevate Financial Growth, and New Manager Experience. Drive innovation in learning modalities, including digital simulations, AI-generated content summaries, and structured learning paths. Partner with instructional designers and external vendors to deliver global functional and cross-functional learning and new supervisory and leadership development programs.
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead a high-performing global L&D team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Serve as a thought partner to HRLT and business leaders on capability building and talent development.
Measurement & Impact:
Define and monitor KPIs such as Learning ROI, engagement scores, promotion rates, and leadership effectiveness. Utilize data analytics to assess program effectiveness and application impact to inform continuous improvement.
Experience & Qualifications
Extensive & progressive experience in global learning and development, talent management, or organizational development.
Proven success in designing and scaling enterprise-wide learning strategies.
Expertise in adult learning theory, class-leading instructional design, and digital learning ecosystems.
Experience designing skills and capability programs for a field-based or deskless workforce.
Strong stakeholder engagement and change leadership skills.
Experience managing global teams and vendor partnerships adapting programs to local regulations and cultures while ensuring enterprise alignment.
Master’s degree in HR, Organizational Psychology, Business, or related field preferred.

Salary & Benefits The salary range for this role is USD $270k - $310k. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
This position is eligible to participate in our annual executive short-term Incentive plan and is eligible to receive equity awards under the Otis executive long-term incentive plan.
