What You'll Do
The Principal Financial Group is seeking a Senior Change Management Consultant!
The Sr Change Management Consultant will provide knowledge and experience related to the skills, structures, tools, and support mechanisms needed to assist in leading change. The change consultant will craft, develop, implement, and evaluate significant change efforts that contribute to the fulfillment of strategic and operational objectives within the organization. Day to day activities will include change management coaching and consultative support within project teams, leading change management design and delivery, learning, communications, change measurement and reporting.
Additional responsibilities include:
Participate in the development and execution of strategies to equip and empower project sponsors, senior leaders, and managers to drive and sustain change and build organizational agility capabilities.
Engage and work through the change process in various steps with key team members to align with upcoming change projects and project support expectations. Advise key partners on the challenges and opportunities arising from disruption among customers and employees.
Lead a portfolio of change management projects, providing coaching and support to project teams and owning change management support for significant projects.
Participate in the design, development, and execution of organizational change strategies in alignment with the change methodology, including impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, change planning, and measurement of change readiness and adoption.
Define and measure success metrics, and supervise change progress and the efficiency of change management plans throughout all project phases, addressing risks and adjusting where vital.
Facilitate knowledge sharing, assemble lessons learned with defining and measuring success metrics, and develop mentorship on standard methodologies.
Who You Are
Bachelors degree (Business, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development) or equivalent required. 7+ years experience within change management
required
; Master's degree in related discipline preferred
Understanding of the psychological and behavioral impacts of change processes on people
required
Ability to establish and maintain credibility at all levels in an organization, which may include executive leadership
Knowledge and experience applying change management methodologies, tools, and techniques
Experience supporting large- and small-scale change initiatives
Ability to analyze, identify, and understand the significance of changes to provide insights and recommendations regarding encouraged organization impacts
Experience producing small to mid-scale communications and communication strategies
Assessing learning needs, and crafting and delivering learning content
Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$106400 - $144400 / year
Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
Pension Eligible Yes
Work Environments This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of three in-office days per week at our corporate headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa. We are not offering relocation for this role.
