$37.50/hr - $56.25/hr External ONLY: $15,000 SIGN ON BONUS Major Responsibilities

Proficiently operates angiographic and ultrasound equipment used to perform basic to advanced procedures on inpatients and outpatients. Must perform and be proficient with procedures including carotid stenting, cerebral intervention (embolization, coiling/stenting), angiograms and related interventions, advanced imaging applications, and complex peripheral interventions as assigned. Assists with interventional and surgical procedures as a scrub assistant with knowledge of equipment options, working with attending and resident physicians; serves as a resource to physicians on procedural equipment options. Monitors patients and alerts staff of life-threatening changes in status; applies defibrillator and performs CPR when required; assists with emergency procedures as they occur. Identifies and processes images to ensure diagnostic quality; assists in evaluating digital equipment to maintain image quality. Compares requisitions to physician orders to ensure exam accuracy; post-processes images and labels them with patient name, MRU number, and location/position of scan. Maintains records according to regulatory agencies; enters patient and study information into radiology information system; documents billing codes for procedures performed. Serves as a technical resource, role model, and/or preceptor for students and staff; acts as a resource to staff within the facility and system. Facilitates clinical problem solving and collaborates with other departments to educate on post-procedure patient management and imaging processes. Performs patient positioning and transporting duties, with lifting and pushing/pulling as part of duties, using proper technique. Provides care appropriate to the age of patients served; demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and age-specific needs as described in department policies and procedures. Licensure, Registration, And/or Certification Required

Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin Registered Technologist (RT) credential from ARRT Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from AHA (must be obtained within 6 months) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from AHA (must be obtained within 6 months unless exempt by department lead) Education Required

Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program Experience Required

Typically requires 2 years of experience in an Interventional Radiologic Technologist role Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Advanced knowledge in radiology positioning and techniques Advanced knowledge of radiation safety and aseptic techniques Advanced knowledge of anatomy, including vascular and/or cerebral Ability to work effectively with diverse providers and follow physician protocols Knowledge of embolic and thrombolytic materials, monitoring equipment, and scrub technique Proficiency in suturing vascular access sheaths Ability to work independently Intermediate computer skills Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; up to 20 lbs overhead; carry up to 40 lbs a distance Push/pull with 30 lbs of force; perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with assistance Exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation hazards and blood/body fluids with appropriate PPE Clear speech, vision, and hearing required Operate all equipment necessary to perform the job This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected.
