Pay Range: $69hr - $75hr
Responsibilities
Compile and analyze source data from government or commercial databases, tables, and indexes to establish price and cost positions. Interface with internal functional groups and external vendors/suppliers to gather relevant information. Analyze supplier proposals and supporting documentation to validate labor, material, and other cost elements. Conduct on-site fact-finding at supplier locations to verify cost estimates and supporting documentation. Determine reasonableness of proposed costs and pricing, and establish recommended price positions to support negotiations. Interpret relevant government regulations (FAR, DFARS, DEAR) as they relate to cost or pricing. Develop and maintain spreadsheets and cost models to support price/cost analysis, and prepare reports, charts, and graphs. Participate in cost and pricing reviews with management, customers, and suppliers. Contribute to the development and training of professional staff as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Observe all laws, regulations, and company operating procedures to ensure compliance and safe work practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business administration within a manufacturing environment (equivalent experience may be substituted). Comprehensive understanding of costing and pricing principles and standard practices. In-depth experience in government contracting, including interfacing with audit agencies such as DCMA or DCAA. Detailed knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and/or CAS regulations. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to document, report, and present findings. Proficiency with spreadsheet and relevant software applications. Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment. Flexibility to work extended hours and travel as required. Strong interpersonal skills and customer-focused mindset.
