AdventHealth Ocala The role you’ll contribute
Provides support to the department by orientating and training new staff members as well as providing on going education for the Sterile Processing staff to ensure staff have been provided adequate training to full fill their job duties. Is also responsible for department Quality Control to ensure patient safety. The value you’ll bring to the team
Accountable for staff training, orientation and education to ensure staff are provided consistent information and training in order to full fill their job duties and follow government regulations, AAMI standards and AdventHealth Policy to ensure patient safety. Observes and oversees all aspects of reprocessing surgical trays to ensure all processes comply with government regulations and AAMI standards. Contributes to department cleanliness, organization, productivity and safety by keeping all instruments and supplies are kept in designated location. Utilizes Microsystems SPM computer program to track instruments, document effective time management/productivity and Q.A. data for department records. Monitors surgical case schedule and assures adequate staffing and instrumentation is available to meet daily customer needs. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed
High School Diploma or equivalent 3 years Sterile Processing experience - Maintains educational requirements as outlined in the organizational checklists. IAHCSMM CRCST Certification and IAHCSMM CIS Certification with IAHCSMM CHL Certification preferred
