12 Month Entry Level Lab Technician in the Complaint Investigations Lab. Abbott is a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life. Responsibilities

Unpacking boxes safely and sorting the returned products accordingly by product lines. Investigating returned products to resolve customer complaints regarding their blood glucose meters, strips & sensors. Documenting complaint investigations in the Complaint Handling System. Using troubleshooting equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, microscopes, etc. to complete investigations. Performing routine maintenance on individual quality records and ensuring equipment used for testing is within validity. Perform routine testing (physical, chemical or functional) on product returned from the field due to a customer complaint, summarize and record all test data, and maintain proper documentation of all lab work. Process customer returns promptly in accordance with ISO and FDA QS Reg; support company goals for timeliness of complaint investigations and closures. Must have good written and oral communications skills. Qualifications

Must have proficient computer skills to navigate Internet programs, basic Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to read, write and comprehend English. Experience in Medical Device / Biotech Industry with a technical background is preferred. Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting is preferred. Ability to work in a team setting is a plus. Ability to follow written work instructions of SOPs is required. Good documentation skills are essential; data entry of investigation results is a primary part of the job. Ability to focus while performing repetitive and routine investigations is required. Great fit for workers with Inspection and Quality experience. Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent (such as GED) with technical experience. An Associates (Two year) degree in Electrical Engineering or other Science may be considered. Recent college graduates with a bachelor’s degree are an ideal fit for this entry level position. Benefits
