Reporting to the Procurement Operations Business Analytics Leader, this position will support the implementation of technologies for advanced reporting of Procurement activities most notably through the Jaggaer platform. This position will introduce analysis initiatives that generate insights on transaction volumes university-wide and process metrics across procurement (Sourcing/Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Contracts, and ECommerce) to inform procurement strategy, enhance user experience and support institutional change management efforts through the following initiatives: Key Responsibilities Jaggaer System Implementation and Support contributing to the rollout and optimization of the Jaggaer eProcurement system, collaborating with stakeholders and Jaggaer support to configure, test, and deploy modules, tracking adoption and performance metrics, collecting user feedback, and monitoring platform updates and best practices. Cross-system Data Integration and Business Analytics integrating and analyzing procurement data from Jaggaer and other university systems (ERP, finance, grants management, supplier databases, specialized finance systems) to develop dashboards and reports for strategic decision?making, tracking KPIs such as spend analysis and supplier performance, and collaborating with IT, Finance and Institutional Research to ensure data accuracy and system reliability. Process Improvement assessing procurement workflows across university business units to identify inefficiencies, gaps and opportunities for standardization and savings, recommending and implementing process changes that enhance automation, reduce cycle times and improve user satisfaction, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure processes align with policy, compliance and system capabilities. Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement translating data insights into clear narratives for decision makers and end?users, leading or contributing to training sessions, user forums and communication efforts to promote new processes and tools, collaborating with academic and administrative leaders to keep solutions responsive to evolving needs, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and data?informed decision?making.
Required Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in data compilation and data visualization techniques and tools (Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau). Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style for all levels and explain complex concepts to non?technical stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and well?developed problem?solving skills. Exceptional organization, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to plan, track and meet ambitious deadlines.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
An inquisitive mindset observing current practices, identifying issues/opportunities and proposing solutions. Ability to use data and user feedback to diagnose root causes, prioritize opportunities and evaluate results, exercising sound judgment to deliver strong outcomes. Ability to learn and apply new technologies, tools and concepts (including NLP, ML and prompt engineering) quickly and adapt as priorities evolve.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in a financial, audit or business operations environment particularly higher education or complex, decentralized organizations. Experience with programming languages (Python, Visual Basic) and data querying languages, and use of code?based automation and data blending techniques.
