Summary:
The Senior Performance Improvement Specialist for the Johns Hopkins Health System is responsible for managing and facilitating the identification, implementation and ongoing measurement of multiple, complex projects under limited guidance, which improve the effectiveness and quality of health care. The senior specialist consistently applies improvement methodology coupled with change management strategies to projects in an effort to design new systems and processes while re‑engineering existing processes and systems to improve operations, safety and quality of care. The senior specialist will assist in creating a culture of continuous improvement by demonstrating a passion for change while managing multiple high‑level projects.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration or other relevant field is required. Master's degree in Business, Health Administration or other relevant field is preferred.
Required Licensure, Certification, On‑going Training:
Completion/Certification of Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, Lean, or similar training as designated by department in 1 year of hire and/or promotion into position.
Work Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of experience working in an operational environment in healthcare that must include two (2) years of experience in supporting organizational change, Project Management, Change Management, Performance/Process Improvement. Perioperative experience highly preferred.
Salary Range: Minimum $37.04/hour – Maximum $61.16/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
