Key Position Details: 0.5 FTE (40-hours per two-week pay period) 8-hour evening/night shifts Occasional weekends Job Description: Provides indirect patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or Medical Doctor of Anesthesiology. This includes cleaning, stocking of supplies and anesthesia equipment during room turnover in the Operating Room. May include handling and transport of uncontrolled medications. Principle Responsibilities Participates in Operating Room turnover
Cleans/decontaminates Anesthesia equipment after each use. Replaces/restocks anesthesia related items. Restocks anesthesia carts. Engages in safe handling of gas cylinders and other supplies.
Performs quality control checks
Monitors for outdated supplies and equipment. Performs daily operation test of defibrillator machines and crash carts/equipment Checks oxygen cylinders on patient carts.
Communicates with manager and team
Informs appropriate source regarding equipment or supply concerns. Makes suggestions for workflow or other improvements. Participates in orientation of new staff.
Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED Previous health care experience Licenses/Certifications BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Allina Health required within 90 days Physical Demands Medium Work Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $21.29 to $27.86 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
