Overview The Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for providing social work/counseling services to patients receiving care in the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health setting. The therapist assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situations of each assigned patient, collaborates with patients, families, the healthcare team, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs, evaluates the effectiveness of those plans, and initiates changes as needed.
Location & Schedule City/State: Virginia Beach, VA
Work Shift: First (Days)
Anticipated Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Education
Master's Level Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field (Required)
Certification / Licensure
Current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in VA (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Certification, or willingness to achieve certification, from clinician's respective board to perform supervision of master's level clinicians
Experience
Prior group therapy experience (Strongly preferred)
Prior experience working with substance abuse population (Strongly preferred)
Prior related experience (Preferred)
