Located about 10 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and near TCU in the award-winning school district, Burleson ISD which also provides a low-cost of living.

The role you’ll contribute: The registered nurse utilizes principles of the nursing process to provide for the continuity of nursing care administered to a specific group of patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the Emergency Room and hospital administration.

The value you’ll bring to the team: Provide prompt, high-quality care to patients with a wide variety of urgent and emergent medical needs.

Perform initial assessments and ongoing monitoring of patients from arrival to discharge or admission.

Recognize and respond to life‑threatening situations with appropriate interventions.

Administer medications, IVs, and treatments per provider orders and hospital protocols.

Monitor and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, EKGs, and imaging.

Document care clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record.

Deliver compassionate care while educating patients and families on discharge instructions and follow‑up needs.

Collaborate with the care team to support timely admissions, transfers, and referrals.

Maintain infection control standards and safety precautions, including appropriate use of PPE and isolation protocols.

Support psychiatric, trauma, pediatric, and OB/GYN patients with skilled, respectful care.

Provide patient education and reinforce safe self‑care practices when appropriate (e.g., crutch walking, wound care).

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.

Adhere to department protocols and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or degree program.

2 - 3 years of experience in general nursing to establish base of knowledge required.

1 year of ED experience preferred.

Current license or permit issued by the state of Texas to practice as a registered nurse or in a qualifying compact State.

Achieves and maintains ACLS, ENPC and TNCC certifications.
