Occupational Therapist - Behavioral Health Position Overview: Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills, as well as general independence, for persons with disabilities or developmental delays in the Behavioral Health Unit. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and families through competent assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Provides clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students.

Education & Credentials

Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.

OT (Licensed Occupational Therapist) or OLP (Occupational Limited Permit) required.

BLS – Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience.

Skills & Knowledge

Critical thinking, complex problem solving, and decisive judgment.

Ability to work independently in a demanding environment and organize multiple priorities.

Proficiency with required technology and computer systems.

Effective verbal and written communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.

Commitment to continual professional development and application of new knowledge.

Work Schedule

Shift: Days (Per Diem/Casual) – 8 hours per shift.

Days of the week: Variable; rotating weekends required.

Weekly hours: 0 (per diem).

Compensation Pay Range: $61.92–$77.39 per hour.
