Overview
Keysight Technologies has a new position for a Process Integration Engineer in the Semiconductor Heterogeneous Integration fab in Santa Rosa, CA. The Integration Engineer will lead process improvement opportunities to maximize fabrication yield of a new heterogeneous integration technology that differentiates Keysight in 6G and AI markets. The final product is integrated into microwave and mmWave subsystems across multiple industries.

Responsibilities
Translate design and performance requirements to process development initiatives
Enable NPI developments with design, manufacturing, and customer teams
Monitor quality of fabrication lots to mitigate risk and maximize yield
Analyze failures and root cause; develop solutions and lead corrective actions
Define and drive process improvement initiatives to maximize product and platform yield
Meet accelerated project schedules; communicate and manage risks
This role requires analytical thinking to discover problems, as well as initiative and creativity to develop and implement solutions. It involves a mix of project leadership and hands‑on fabrication in the clean room. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for fast‑paced, cross‑functional interactions.
Qualifications MS or PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant fields, with a strong background in semiconductor fabrication.
Hands‑on experience is required in:
Compound semiconductors and/or silicon technologies
Heterogeneous integration, advanced packaging & assembly
Thermal, mechanical and electrical reliability
Technical project management
Experience with New Technology Introduction and New Product Introduction
Statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE)
This position is within the High Frequency Technology Center (HFTC) at our Headquarters in beautiful Sonoma County. Just an hour north of San Francisco, you will live close to vineyards, redwood forests, regional and state parks, and a vibrant culinary scene, while developing state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
HFTC is part of Keysight Advanced Technology Labs, the core R&D organization that enables Centers of Excellence and other business groups to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, and 6G solutions to customers in various industries, including communications, AI, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries. HFTC technologies include InP and GaAs‑based HBTs, HEMTs, and diodes, as well as high‑frequency System in Package (SiP) solutions.
