Senior Software Engineer, Back End
Capital One is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Back End to join our Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) team. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, collaborating with product managers and other engineering teams to build robust, cloud‑based solutions that empower millions of Americans.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full‑stack development tools and technologies.
Stay on top of technology trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala; work with open source RDBMS and NoSQL databases; and use container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, plus a variety of AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply).
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience with Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Plano, TX: $144,200 - $164,600 for Senior Software Engineer.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
