Summary of Position The Data Analyst focuses on building scalable and effective business intelligence solutions, particularly as the company moves to a modern data architecture utilizing Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Power BI. This role emphasizes data modeling with SQL, clear communication with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to data quality, performance, and user experience. The analyst will work with enterprise‑wide datasets, contribute to automation and reporting improvements, and help lay the groundwork for future self‑service analytics.
Power BI & Reporting
Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using curated, governed datasets from Microsoft Fabric.
Follow Imbibe’s SQL‑first, minimal‑DAX development standards to promote consistency and transparency.
Iterate on reports based on stakeholder feedback using a structured enhancement cycle.
Data Modeling & Integration
Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to transform data in the Silver and Gold layers of Fabric.
Support the migration of legacy SQL views (ImbibeTools) to modern Fabric‑based pipelines and Lakehouse structures.
Maintain awareness of source systems, including Nav, Formulator, Salesforce, and SharePoint.
Collaborate with department leads to define metrics and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
Align all work with Imbibe’s data governance principles and standardized metric definitions.
Document dataset logic, data source dependencies, and business rules for scalability and self‑service use.
Enablement & Automation
Contribute to ongoing automation efforts using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Fabric pipelines.
Help drive the transition from a centralized BI model to a hybrid model that empowers business users.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
3–5 years of experience with relational databases, SQL development, and BI/reporting platforms.
Expertise in Power BI with a history of building performant dashboards.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric/OneLake and cloud data platforms.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and source‑to‑report workflows.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Self‑starter with time management and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Salesforce, or Formulator.
Familiarity with SharePoint.
Prior experience in a CPG or process manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions
Primarily office‑based; hybrid work environment may be considered.
Must be able to remain in a stationary seated position ~75% of the time.
Regular interaction via digital communication tools; must be detail‑oriented and responsive.
Approximate Salary Range $75,000 – $95,000 USD
The salary range listed represents the expected earnings for this role. The low end of the range reflects the starting salary for candidates with less experience or qualifications that meet the basic requirements for the position. The high end of the range reflects potential earnings for candidates with extensive experience, specialized skills, or qualifications above the standard requirements for the role.
