Position Project Manager (Civil/Construction)

Job Duties Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

Oversee commercial construction projects in healthcare, advanced technology, life sciences, higher education, and commercial markets. Manage all aspects of project execution, including project controls, scheduling, staffing, planning, engineering, cost management, risk management, and business management. Oversee project documentation, including logs, records, safety maintenance, and Requests for Information (RFIs), and ensure the submission of shop drawings, samples, and supplier data. Handle finance‑related tasks, including managing billing, ensuring effective cost control, change management, cash flow, and preparing monthly financial status reports. Oversee technical details, shop drawings, and products for design compliance, and resolve conflicts or issues. Handle procurement processes by scheduling and tracking the purchase and delivery of project materials, especially long‑lead items.

Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites within commuting distance of DPR’s Fort Lauderdale, FL office.

Minimum Requirements Master’s degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a civil/construction engineer‑related occupation.

Special Requirements Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:

Monitor time and installation quantities using Edge On Site and/or On Center Digital Production Control to reconcile estimated versus actual quantities, generating production reports that aid in developing accurate financial forecasts.

Generate, track, and review submittals, RFIs, addenda, and other construction document using Autodesk, Procore, and BIM 360 to ensure field team, vendors, and other stakeholders are up to date with the latest project updates available.

Use construction management software such as ComputerEase and/or CMiC to track and forecast project cost used to issue periodic financial status reports.

Develop resource‑loaded schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project to forecast manpower, sequencing of activities, and support overall project flow.

Draft construction details and provide blueprint markups using AutoCAD or Bluebeam Revu to visually convey design intent, address current issues, and propose potential solutions for various technical design and/or coordination challenges.

Utilize AutoDesk BIM 360 Glue to navigate coordination models, identify clashes, highlight priority areas, and assess potential constructability issues.

Position also requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following:

Conduct takeoffs and pricing for multiple scopes, including but not limited to cast‑in‑place concrete, masonry, non‑structural framing, drywall, paint, and specialties, utilizing On Screen Takeoff, QuickBid, and/or The Edge to produce comprehensive bid proposals and change order pricing.
