Overview
GEICO is seeking an experienced Workday Financial Senior Solution Architect that will function as a Tech Lead. You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission, while co-creating the culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
Focus initially on the Finance domain and provide technical and thought leadership before helping the enterprise drive technology solutioning Leverage deep Technical and Functional Finance systems expertise to drive the right solution to support the department and GEICO’s current and future needs Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the software lifecycle Provide support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations and develop new integrations Lead design sessions with peers to ensure systems are well designed, efficient, and meet Business expectations Leverage experience with various ERPs (e.g. Workday, PeopleSoft; Oracle EBS; Oracle Cloud; Hyperion; or SAP) to enhance existing applications or build new ones to support GEICO’s Finance organization Leverage your deep understanding of Finance, Accounting, and Management Reporting to drive solutions to meet business requirements Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve problems Develop and execute technical software development strategy across the Finance Tech Accountable for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions Mentor and coach the engineering and product community; influence and educate executives Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams Qualifications
10+ years of Finance domain experience with ERP solutions (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, Hyperion, or SAP) 8+ years of experience with architecture and design of Financial ERP implementations Deep Finance domain expertise to interpret Finance requirements into solutions Strong understanding of accounting processes, Management reporting philosophies, and cross-finance practices to ensure data, integrations, and solutions are well designed Ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmap Ability to communicate and work with business leaders across Technology and Finance Experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex integrations Experience with scalable, resilient, and highly available systems Experience with data marts/repositories/lakes to support enterprise functions Understanding of system monitoring concepts and tooling Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production Experience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent education/experience Compensation
Base pay range: $105,001.00/yr - $280,004.00/yr The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Final offer depends on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and location. GEICO will not sponsor new employment authorization for this position at this time. Benefits and Culture
