Opportunity to work with an energetic, patient-focused team. This position is PRN, part-time, at outpatient imaging centers in Louisville, KY.
Job Summary Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI technologist performs routine to complex magnetic resonance procedures and related techniques, producing images at the request of licensed independent practitioners. The technologist ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with guidelines and regulatory requirements, and works as part of the imaging center team to improve clinical practice.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and complex MRI procedures following established protocols.
Ensure patient safety and comply with regulatory requirements.
Operate MRI equipment and ancillary equipment competently.
Document procedures accurately and concisely.
Collaborate with the imaging team to provide feedback for improved clinical practice.
Required Experience
Up to 1 year experience as an MRI technologist.
Education
Minimum associate's degree in radiology or graduate of an accredited two‑year radiology program.
License/Certification
Registered with ARRT in radiography or ARMIT in MRI, with current valid registration.
MR advanced registration required upon hire for IDTF centers; non‑IDTF centers require MR advanced registration within 12 months.
Must meet state licensure requirements.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
Skill in operation of MRI equipment and ancillary equipment.
Independent, multitask ability.
Accurate and concise documentation.
Understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
Computer proficiency including information and billing systems, digital archiving, data retrieval.
