The Allegion Platform Operations Team is looking for an Atlassian product administrator maximizing the functionality and efficiency of Atlassian products, especially Jira, for our engineering and IT stakeholders. As experts in the architecture, design, implementation and operation of these tools, they ensure that our clients can effectively manage their projects and workflows to achieve optimal performance and alignment with their business goals. Our specialists collaborate with our Enterprise IT & Engineering product and help achieve our mission of greater satisfaction and trust in Allegion Software.

What You Will Do

Independently manage full setup and customization of Jira projects.

Design and implement complex workflows, permission schemes, and screens.

Integrate Atlassian tools with other third‑party services to enhance client systems.

Engage in specialized training for Confluence and other Atlassian tools to enhance integration capabilities.

Understand system architecture and assess upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions.

Regularly update internal product teams and stakeholders on project status, ensuring transparency and alignment on deliverables.

Maintain a relationship with the Atlassian customer success team, staying informed of product updates and providing feedback to Atlassian to influence the product direction.

Serve as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders to translate complex technical details into actionable insights.

Host workshops and training sessions for internal users to ensure effective use of implemented Atlassian tools.

Conduct detailed demonstrations of Atlassian products, showcasing their effectiveness and adaptability to prospective internal customer environments.

Begin mentoring junior team members, sharing insights and techniques for effective use of Atlassian products along with other platform tools.

Maintain and administer Atlassian tools to ensure they follow internal standards and policies, external compliance requirements and enterprise best practices. This includes managing SSO, auditing accounts, maintaining a secure environment, and following group‑based access control policies.

Support the migration of users and projects from legacy tools to Jira/Confluence.

Engage closely with the platform operations team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and successful execution of product requirements and acceptance criteria.

Build programmatic and technical subject‑matter expertise through research and fact‑finding to produce concise, accurate requirements and systems documentation. Maintain technical documentation, ensuring it is up to date with system iteration and evolution.

Establish an understanding of user needs, behaviors and pain points, and of the overarching program goals, to build and guide product strategy and product requirements. Complete gap analyses to ensure requirements comprehensively solve business problems.

Build a trusting, open and communicative relationship with internal customers and stakeholders to effectively communicate and clarify requirements between all engaged parties.

Communicate effectively across cross‑functional teams and align everyone toward shared goals and effectively define, refine and execute product requirements. Recognize opportunities to improve collaboration and introduce new collaboration approaches and processes.

What You Need to Succeed

Capable of architecting and deploying comprehensive Atlassian JIRA processes across multiple teams or departments.

Can lead complex migrations and upgrades without supervision.

Can develop custom plugins and scripts to extend functionality of Atlassian products.

Pursues continuous learning on new Atlassian releases and cross‑functional tool integrations.

Cross‑functional team leadership driving strategic discussions on project integration and aligning Atlassian tooling with business processes.

Facilitation of workshops for change management/training to improve ROI on Atlassian investment.

Developing communication strategies to keep key stakeholders engaged and updated with key tooling changes. Leading the technical implementation, articulating the value proposition of Atlassian solutions in solving complex business challenges.

Creating mentoring programs, focusing on advanced Atlassian skills and certifications.

Teaching best practices, using tools and techniques effectively, and supporting less experienced platform operation team members in their professional development.

Can lead large‑scale projects and influence organizational strategies related to Atlassian product usage.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a Technical field.

5‑10 years combined experience in product management, marketing, business or customer service, including software implementation or product ownership.

Scrum certification.
