Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment. Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, with a focus on continuous improvement. Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders. Exhibit quality workmanship and maintain Data Center cleanliness. Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices. Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles. Read and comprehend blueprints and building documentation/redline work. Maintain a broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies. Read and understand floor plans; be familiar with wiring schemes and testing. Capable of installing ladder racking and seismic bracing above and under raised floors. Perform field terminations and labeling; pull and dress low voltage cables. Understand and perform copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting. Operate and interpret results from test equipment (e.g., DSX 5000, OTDR) and document results. Prepare, maintain, and file orderly project paperwork; manage service jobs as assigned. Dress and organize cable pathways and support structures in MDF/IDF closets. Differentiate live versus decommissioned cables and perform service swaps as needed. What Youll Need
Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools. Strong customer service orientation. Clear understanding of job safety requirements. Ability to read and understand floor plans and blueprints. Familiarity with wiring schemes and testing; ability to pull low voltage cable. Capability in performing field terminations and labeling. Ability to maintain orderly paperwork and manage service jobs. Capable of working in data center environments. Experience in installing ladder racking and seismic bracing above and under raised floors. Basic understanding of copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting. Experience with fiber trunk dressings and splicing as needed. Experience with fusion splicing (Ribbon/Single OSP/ISP) and related terminology. Ability to install, connect, and decommission network equipment; use/test equipment; download and save test results and submit to customers. Why CBRE
