To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our division Plasma Control Technologies at the Flamatt site as a
Software Engineer 80-100%

We develop and produce innovative high-tech components and systems based on X-ray and radio-frequency technology. Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication.
In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.
What you will do
Design and develop reusable software libraries and frameworks to support data-intensive applications in system-level testing of embedded systems
Implement and optimize data processing pipelines, applying multiprocessing, multithreading, and asynchronous programming techniques to achieve high performance and scalability
Collaborate closely with R&D engineers and test teams to enable reliable and efficient testing of complex electronic systems
Develop automation solutions to accelerate test execution, improve software quality, and enhance productivity and build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support continuous integration
Debug, profile, and optimize existing solutions and document tools, frameworks, and APIs to ensure they are robust, easy to use, and maintainable
What you bring
Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent professional experience
Strong hands-on programming skills, ideally in Python (additional languages a plus) with a good knowledge of core software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented principles, and design patterns
Proven experience in developing libraries, frameworks, and scalable software architectures with a solid background in CI/CD toolchains and automated testing
Strong background in parallel and asynchronous processing (e.g. multiprocessing, multithreading, async I/O) as well as data pipelines and optimizing performance for large-scale data processing
Excellent written and spoken English skills; proficiency in German is a plus
