Overview
Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Engineer at our Coatesville, Pennsylvania location. Ideal candidates will be proactive and dedicated to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant electrical systems. This role plays a critical part in leading the preventive maintenance program and providing ongoing support to the maintenance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing equipment issues, developing preventive strategies, and driving continuous improvement efforts across the facility. As an Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with plant engineering teams to update technical documentation, coordinate equipment operations, and support electrical redesign initiatives. This role demands a hands-on problem-solver with a strong background in electrical systems within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Contributes toward the development and continuous improvement of equipment
Utilizes appropriate failure analysis techniques to determine root causes of failures and initiates necessary corrective action to eliminate or reduce such failures
Establishes preventive maintenance procedures; plans equipment outages, downtime repairs, and efficient replacement
Assists in the continuous improvement of departmental spares including maintenance, repair, and costs control procedures
Works closely with Plant Engineering, ensures drawings are updated in keeping with equipment modifications, provides counsel for equipment redesign and performance
Coordinates requirements, standards, and procedures for the operations of the equipment
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experiences of broad electrical engineering in a manufacturing environment
