Senior Bodily Injury Commercial Claims Adjuster
Location: In office: Englewood, CO or Shreveport, LA or Remote: Will consider remote position for the right candidate
Licensure: Must be licensed in at least one of the following states: Louisiana, Texas, Nevada, or Oklahoma

Position Overview We are looking for a Senior Commercial Claims Adjuster with heavy bodily injury experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling Commercial Auto and General Liability Claims with Property Claims experience a plus. A strong background in managing litigation files and attorney-represented claims is required. This role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented professional who can independently manage a complex caseload from initial loss notice through resolution, including litigation management and settlement negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex commercial claims involving Commercial Auto & General Liability
Handle attorney-represented and litigated claims, including coordination with defense counsel, attending mediations, and participating in settlement strategy discussions.
Interpret and apply policy language to coverage investigations and claim determinations.
Conduct thorough investigations, including interviews, site inspections, and review of evidence/documentation.
Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed claim documentation in the claim management system.
Ensure claims are handled in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable state regulations.
Analyze litigation budgets and monitor legal expenses.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior adjusters as needed.
Collaborate with underwriting and loss control to improve claim outcomes and identify trends.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience handling commercial claims, including litigation and attorney-represented files.
Demonstrated expertise in Commercial Auto and General Liability claims. Commercial Property claims experience a plus.
Active Adjuster License in Louisiana, Texas, Nevada, or Oklahoma (multi-state licensing preferred).
Strong working knowledge of relevant state laws, legal procedures, and insurance regulations.
Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to make sound claim decisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Multi-line and multi-state bodily injury claims handling experience.
Experience working in a TPA or carrier environment.
