Base pay range:
$53,764.00/yr - $85,138.00/yr
Responsibilities
Provide support to agency program managers and administrators in the Accounts Payable Department.
Process travel expenses and invoices.
Review and update organizational policies and procedural manuals as needed.
Generate monthly reports.
Perform weekly check runs.
Engage in high level customer service with internal and external payees.
Assist with the development and implementation of budget processes.
Minimum Qualifications
For Appointment to Budgeting Analyst Trainee 1: Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; or One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren’t limited to: Administrative Specialist Trainee 1, Human Resources Specialist Trainee 1, Information Technology Specialist 1.
For Appointment to Senior Budgeting Analyst (SG18): Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; or One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren’t limited to: Administrative Specialist 1, Human Resources Specialist 1, Information Technology Specialist 2; or A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in budget estimation, justification, and expenditure control functions. A Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience.

NY HELPS Program This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date, employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, allowing promotion examinations.
